           This tutorial is very helpful for those bloggers or website owners who want to get more and more traffic on their blog or website. I know guys, you are doing hard efforts to get more traffic on your blog or website to increase the performance of your blog. And you must get traffic from social media like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Instagram and so many social sites. You have tried so many Tips and Tricks to get more and more traffic on your blog.               So friends in this tutorial i am going to show to step by step procedure of search preferences settings in blogger with detail explanation. I have read so many blogs and articals where they only show us the setting and say copy or implement these settings in your blog. But i thing this is totally wrong. This is not good habit. I thing first, We should learn about any subject and then implement it in your real practice because the chances of failure are minimize.

In this post I will clearly mentione the proper way to set up your meta tags and errors and redirection settings. I will also explain, How to set up crawlers and indexing settings? How to create sitemap for your website? How to create robots.txt File? And all important settings and tricks.

How to set Search Preferences settings in Blogger???     

              Search preferences settings are used to search your by search engine. Search engines can only detect your blog or website if your search preferences settings will be correct. These settings will help you to manage good SEO (Search Engine Optimization). If you want to more  and more traffic on your blog or website then your Search preferences settings must be correctly configured. 

           No need to worry. I will explain every single step which is important to manage good SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to your blog, so the chances of your blog searching by Google will increased and traffic on your blog will increase. But remember you have to update your blog daily, otherwise your rank will be decrease. If you want to get top rang on search engine then you have to update your blog or website daily.

                  Now i am explaining, how to set search preferences settings in blogger. Read carefully and follow each step properly. 

Follow these steps given below :

1) Open your search engine.

2) Search for Blogger.com

3) Login with your google account.

4) Select the Blog

5) Go to the settings

6) In setting, Click search preferences

1) Meta tags

     Guys the first heading is Meta tags.
     Meta tags are the tags which appears during search result. Search engine can only read this tag and then show your result , so this is very important.
     Below that, another subheading is description.
     Now meta tag description is the explanation or introduction of your blog or website which  is disabled by default. We need to enable it.
     This is the information which describe your blog. So keywords play an important role in this description.
     It means when someone search something related to your content then search engine will generate result according to your meta tag description.
     Guys it is really important to use high quality keywords which can perfectly describe your blog.
     This is nothing but the collection of good keywords which is used to understand the search engine       about your blog and blog content. So use the most highly recommended keywords in this description box. Use the keywords finder tool which are easily available on internet totally free.
   

 Now how to enable meta tag Description?

Guys this description is disable by default so we have to enable it.
Please follow below steps
     1) Click on edit option.
     2) Click yes
     3) Type description of your blog
     4) Click save changes

          These two features are mostly used during errors. I am sure you must have seen some errors during web browsing. When you have move your website from one web address to another new web address these massages are very helpful to shift traffic to your new webpage.

                              Suppose your post or page is missing or deleted and

                 you want to connect your all website visitor to another URL

                 address then this is the perfect feature for you.

                 This will allow your all visitors who are going on those deleted

                 pages automatically redirected to the new URL address

                 provided by you.

                   How to use this?

                                 1) Click on edit
                                 2) In first box Enter the old URL or deleted page's URL
                                 3) In second box,Enter the URL
                                     which you want to redirect your visitors.
                                 4) Click Save changes

3) Crawlers and Indexing 

              As names indicate, these two tools are used to crawl your website and index it. Web crawling is the process of browsing the World Wide Web in a methodical, automated manner. The web crawling is also known as web spidering. Crawling and indexing play an very important role in SEO(Search engine optimization). The indexing is the process of collecting, parses and stores data for use by the search engine to show the best search results to the users or visitors.

           1) Google Search Console 

                                  Before few years, this tool is known as Google webmaster tool. But in May 20,                2015 Google has changed the name to Google Search Console. In simple words, this is the                  free service powered by Google which allows the website admins to check the indexing                      status of his website and optimize it for better search result.

To use this tool, you have to create Google Search Console account with your gmail ID.
Please follow the steps given below carefully to create the Google Search Console account  account
and link it to your Blogger Blog
1) Open your web browser and type Google Search Console or
    Click here https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
2) Click Add property (On top right corner)
3) Enter your blog's URL properly.(Check http or https properly)
4) Click ADD
    Then  new window will be open with some blog verification methods. You can choose any one of        those methods. Google's recommended method is HTML file upload method.
    It means one HTML code will provide you and you need to upload it on your blog.
    In alternative methods, there are four methods:
    These four methods are  as follows
         1) HTML tag
                          This is my personal favorite method and i recommend all of you to use only this                 verification method to verify your Google Search Console account  account. In this method,                 one system generated meta tag is given to the user and he has to put this tag in to the home                   page of his site. This is very simple and popular method. 
         2) Domain name provider
                            In this method, user has to sign up with his domain name provider.
         3) Google analytics
                             In this method, user need to sign up with his Google analytics account.
         4) Google tag manager
                             In this method, user need to sign up with his Google Tag manager account.
Now i will explain my favorite method to create Google Search Console account  account.
  5) Click on Alternative method
  6) Select HTML tag and copy the given HTML code.
  7) Now open your blogger blog's Theme and Click on HTML.
  8) Search for <head> and after this <head> paste the given HTML code.
  9) Save settings
10) Now return into your Google Search Console account  account and click on verify.
11) If your HTML code is perfectly working then your account will be verified and click on                      continue.
Now your Google Search Console account  account is verified and you can monitor your blog from this account.

             2) Custom robots.txt     

This is the very important file, which provides the proper way to the search engine for crawling and indexing. This is nothing but the .txt file which contains some words. If you want to hide some pages of your blog, then this feature is used.

               How to set ???

                      1) Click on edit
                      2) Select yes
                      3) Type the given code
 User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
Disallow:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Allow: /
Sitemap: Sitemap of your website
                       The underline text next to the sitemap is the sitemap of my blog so you have to add your own sitemap and the click on save.

  How to create sitemap???

Basically sitemap is .xml file which contains the address of all webpages and posts of your website that you have published on your website. Sitemap is very important for SEO. Otherwise your site will not crawled by search engines. Now follow the given steps to generate sitemap for your site.

       1) Go to the http://ctrlq.org/blogger/

       2) Enter the address of your website 

       3) Click on Generate sitemap

       4) Now the generated xml file is your sitemap 

       5) Copy the whole line properly
